Close-to-Edge Clinch Studs
CHE studs allow installation closer to material edge than standard studs without distortion of sheet edge. Provides flush-head assembly in material thickness of .040 in. (1 mm) or more.
Series CHE and CHES self-clinching studs are designed for installation close to the edge of sheet material without causing distortion. They form a flush-head assembly in materials 0.040 in. (1 mm) and thicker. CHE studs are manufactured from heat-treated zinc clear carbon steel, while CHES versions are 300 series stainless steel with passivated ASTM A967 finish. Installation requires a correctly sized hole and application of squeezing force until the head is flush with the sheet.
